About the Organization:


Pro Mujer is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to support Latin American women living in poverty to build better futures for themselves and their families through microfinance, business skills, and health care support. Pro Mujer leads the microfinance industry in addressing the poorest segment’s multiple needs and in pioneering creative solutions to build awareness and demand for health services. It also provides access to basic healthcare and health promotion and prevention education.

About the Job:


Pro Mujer is looking for an Individual Giving Manager. S/he will help Pro Mujer create partnerships of highly engaged, individual givers. S/he will report to the director of development, major gifts & individual giving.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage campaigns, giving societies, and events to develop opportunities for donors to grasp Pro Mujer’s work, further invest in it, and become effective ambassadors;
  • Manage campaigns up to $1million designed to invigorate, diversify, engage, and broaden Pro Mujer's base of donors;
  • Produce, coordinate, and manage fundraising and cultivation events, including the annual benefit;
  • Play a lead role in Pro Mujer's philanthropic leadership societies;
  • Manage the leadership team and activities of Pro Mujer's active and growing junior committee;
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and management of a focused, strategic approach to cultivating donors by coordinating all individual giving activities;
  • Identify and recruit partners and investors at all levels;
  • Manage direct mail appeals and strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising with supervisory responsibilities;
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in fast moving environment;
  • Ability to inspire, connect, and communicate effectively in person, on the phone, through e-mail, and letters;
  • Marketing and presentation skills;
  • Fundraising experience, particularly in securing gifts up to $25,000.
