About the Job:
SBI is looking for a Consultant – Senior Bank IT Expert. S/he will oversee the work and contribute intermittently onsite in Mexico. S/he will be based at the client institution for the duration of the assignment and will work with and support the senior technical lead.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Discuss and identify areas that technology can support the business plan;
- Confirmation of identified technology implementations, upgrades, and enhancements;
- High level review of identified technology improvements;
- Review of backend CBS upgrade;
- Review of internet banking options and requirements;
- Review of resource requirements: hardware, data communication, systems, software, RDMS, etc.;
- Identify user training requirements etc.;
- Identify yearly IT capital expenditure and recurring expenditure requirements;
- Define IT policy and formulate IT strategy.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of work experience in software development, support or maintenance at a commercial bank (not an MFI), preferably in Mexico;
- Must have business knowledge of banking products, procedures, and controls;
- Must be professionally fluent in both Spanish and English. All client meetings and reports will be in Spanish;
- Core banking systems procurement experience or other significant, enterprise-level experience in procurement of hardware, software, network or data communication systems;
- Knowledge of data communication, network management, hardware and related equipment, disaster recovery planning, backup, and security;
- Knowledge or implementation experience of delivery channels – ATMs, internet banking, phone banking, debit/credit cards etc.
