About the Job:
Grameen America is looking for a Development Associate. S/he will support the development team of the New York Office and will be responsible for grant writing, research, report writing, and project based work. S/he will also support the development team in their fundraising activities related to foundation, government, and corporate funding.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Identify and research new prospects, locally, regionally, and nationally;
Maintain calendar of due dates of grant progress and final reports;
Draft grant proposals and final reports;
Compose and send donor acknowledgement letters and other funder correspondence;
Maintain Salesforce database of donors and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree;
At least 2 years of experience in fundraising position;
Excellent written communication;
Strong computer skills – must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel;
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects independently and complete an assignment timely and accurately;
Salesforce or other CRM skills are a plus.
